Love is a process. Love takes time to grow. Love isn't something you just "do" or "say". You would never walk into a field and say, "tree" and suddenly there be one! Does that sound rediculous? It should. But the same should be said for love at first sight.
Answer me this...if love at first sight is real, what part of that person are you in love with? Their heart, their soul, the way they treat you? Are you in love with the way they say your name and look at you, knowing everything about you that makes you smile? Well, if you just set eyes on them for the first time, this would be impossible, now wouldn't it?
Love takes time to flourish. You don't "fall" in love with someone, regardless of how we like to tag it. You grow to love someone. You spend time with them and learn what makes them tick and you become acquainted with how they feel and where their heart truly is. Then there comes a point when you connect with how they tick and how they feel and where their heart truly is and at that point, you want nothing more than to be with them, spend time with them, care for them, make them happy, no matter what. This is love.
Nope, "love at first sight" doesn't exist. I believe the true way to put what those people are feeling would be called, "lust at first sight".
Now, don't get me wrong...I do feel that you can make an instant connection with someone that can grow into love. I believe this with all my heart. But, it's not love initially, it's simple chemistry. It's two seperate personalities that compliment each other.
Love at first sight is very romantic, but let's be real. Love is an awesome thing. Let's not waste it and throw it around like you could buy it at the store. Cherish it, nurture it, fertilize it and let it grow into something unbreakable and strong.
Love is an amazing thing. I pray it happens to all of us.
